Hey Pretty Blossoms!
I wanted to create a quick reference post for you to let you know a bit more about what chakras are, and why they are such an important thing to consider, when working towards holistic (whole) wellness (body, mind, spirit).
What are chakras?
(in Indian thought) each of the centers of spiritual power in the human body, usually considered to be seven in number.
- Chakra #1, Red – Survival and our connections to our body and the Earth
- Chakra #2, Orange – Sex and The Mind
- Chakra #3, Yellow – Personal Power Power
- Chakra #4, Green – Love and Emotions
- Chakra #5, Blue – Communication
- Chakra #6, Indigo – Intuition
- Chakra #7, Violet – Connection to the Universe and your Creator
Before we move on, there is something we need to understand… The physical existence of chakras has not been scientifically proven.
Some people believe they exist and others do not. There are some individuals who call themselves Clairvoyant, who claim they can see the chakras and layers of the human aura, and many people who meditate and perform energetic body work who claim to be able to feel the spin of the chakras moving throughout their bodies. I have personally felt the spins and see colors within the human energy field, but who am I to say that it couldn’t just be in my head? Either way, it doesn’t really matter, in my view. All I know is my own personal experience with them, and really, that is the only valid information that anyone has to base their opinions of the chakras off of. Think for yourself, be open to your own personal experiences, and make a concision based on your own personal truths. 🙂
Whether you believe in the physical and literal existence of the chakras is your truth, and I respect both sides of the debate equally. With that being said, believing in their existence is irrelevant to how we are going to use the system here, at Where Juniper Grows.
Here, we are going to look at what each of the 7 main chakras represent symbolically, within the human body and the human life. We will work towards bringing balance and peace to these areas, using the chakra system as a theoretic road map to inner balance. This way, both believers and skeptics alike, have the same amount of wisdom to gain from working with the techniques that I am about to share with you. Cool huh?!
***We will be covering what of each of the 7 main chakras represent, in future posts.
See these links below for posts that have already been created, referring to each of the 7 main chakras:
Metaphysical Science is a muddy field, and it is important for us to keep a level head and open mind when working with the topics of the subconscious mind and unseen, universal energies.
If you are someone who sees chakras on others, or is curious about the human aura and the deeper metaphysical theories of the chakras, this is an interesting read! “Wheels of Life, By: Anodea Judith. PhD”
I don’t agree with everything the Author has shared, but keep in mind that this is her personal experience with the human energy field. You can take from it what resonates with you, and come up with your own options about the topics explored in the text. 🙂
